The house always wins?
It’s about breaking the rules, and feeling like a fox while doing it. It’s like how you can cheat your company of money by playing Balatro in the middle of the work day on your phone while you work. But that’s not something I know anything about. I don’t really know what Balatro is. Want to check my phone? Ah, I accidentally closed it out and throw it out the window. You are rewarded for winning games with money – which, just like in real life when you are idle or idle, can be used to buy more cards. While there are good ways to play, and ways to make those opportunities happen by knowing which blinds to jump for bonus prizes and such, there are opportunities so many to play that you are always tempted to use your strategy again. Chasing new ideas while stumbling upon new cogs for your big scoring machine is part of the fun.
Balatro knows it, great sound design that matches other details while you’re holding up the playing hand, like watching the wheels of a slot machine (without the gambling of course – it’s just the title here, Balatro has little to do with reality.gambling mechanics). Even if you were playing at a conference, I suggest you turn down the volume or triple check that you’re not on mute. In our last meeting, that was definitely not coming from me. Someone was playing Balatro.
The only downside to Balatro mobile is that there’s no cross-save, meaning if you’ve already put hours into it on other platforms (um, guilt), you’ll need to chase those high scores. again while opening. pile on new cards and decks, and take on challenging challenges. However for me, I find it nice to have them again. The core of Balatro is fun enough to unlock or not, I’m always having fun. Some cards are just a bonus.
